UnderLimit processes your PDFs only to deliver the compression you requested. Files are scanned, compressed, and deleted after the stated retention window.
Uploaded PDFs are stored temporarily in object storage (MinIO), scanned with ClamAV for malware, analysed and compressed by our worker, and made available through a time-limited result link. We do not use your documents to train AI models.
If you sign in with email, we store a verified customer record, a secure session cookie (HttpOnly), and link your Stripe Customer for billing. Magic-link tokens are single-use and expire quickly. We do not use passwords. You can sign out to revoke the current session cookie.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive payment status, customer identifiers, and subscription or single-batch entitlement data needed to unlock compression. We do not store full card numbers on UnderLimit servers.
Transactional emails (magic links and batch-ready notifications) are sent via Resend from our verified sending domain. Result emails contain a sealed link; they do not attach PDF files.
Application logs and operational telemetry may include IP addresses, request metadata, and error codes for security and reliability. Object storage holds upload/output artefacts only for the retention window.
We apply malware scanning before processing. Quarantined files are not compressed. Access to private batch/job sessions uses browser session storage and/or authenticated cookies.
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. Optional analytics and advertising conversion measurement operate only according to your consent choices (Google Consent Mode v2).
Completed batch results are typically available for about 48 hours, then permanently deleted. Quarantined malware samples may be retained for a shorter security window. Account and billing records are kept while your relationship with us continues and as required for legal/accounting obligations.
